I believe that the rainforest ecosystem will be much more open in the future, compared current density. This is because deforestation is a significant problem in rainforests worldwide, including the Golden lion tamarin’s native forests of brazil. I also believe there is going to be an increase in lakes and rivers. This fact is also going to contribute to the increase in shrubbery and a decrease in the number of trees. Due to these changes, I predict the golden lion tamarin will grow tougher skin. This will allow the animal to traverse the bushes easier, allowing them to seek shelter in these. Another adaptation is a more buoyant tail, allowing them to swim better. Because of the increase in bodies of water, this has a high possibility of occurring. One final adaptation is a small thumb. This will be helpful because it will allow them to move around more effectively.
