1000 years from now rainforests would be wiped out and turned into a Savanna from increasing temperatures and deforestation. Okapis would likely have stronger legs and be more open to predators, constantly running away. They will also be smaller and weaker as most of their food would be gone or dead from other predators or their plants would be dead. They could potentially turn into an omnivore from this matter. They will likely have less visible stripes as they are more open to the sun and their skin would be darker as well as being open to the sun. They will also have less oily skin due to the sun as well, as it will dry up to the sun. They will also have larger ears, and more likely more open fur as it will help them stay cool and will bring cold air for them to take.
