The two-toed sloth lives in the tropical rainforests of South America. I think that in the future, most trees will be gone because of deforestation, and the temperature will increase because of global warming. This might make the sloth have to adapt to have shorter fur because of the climate. Also, they will probably have to move on the ground because of deforestation. They might have shorter nails so it’s easier to walk. Sloths move really slow because they only eat leaves, but because they will have to live on the ground I think that they will have to move faster. They will do this by growing sharper teeth so they can eat insects.
