Amazon Bamboo Rat

Bamboo Rats live in the canopy of the Amazon Rainforest. In the present it has many adaptations. Its eyes are good at seeing in darkness. Its ears can also hear well. It climbs, and its fur ranges from chestnut brown to pale gray. Its fur helps blend in. Due to rising sea levels and chopping down trees, The Bamboo Rat will have VERY different adaptations. One of them will be their paws. Their paws will have claws for defense, and will be longer and stronger so that it will be able to run and climb the trees that are their new home, the Savannah. Its second adaptation will be its nose. Its nose will be able to close so it can breath in short breaths and stay underwater for a long time.The last adaptation is its tail. It will be longer so that it can swim.
