The Golden Lion Tamarin's present adaptation for survival in the rainforest is its size. It's 15 to 25 centimeters and 17 to 24 ounces. They eat fruits, insects, earthworms, snails, small mice, mealworms, and crickets in the wild. They remain from 29 to 100 feet off the ground. In the future, they will live close to the ground and close to water. They will spend much of their time in the water because it will be hotter. They will need to live lower because of the oxygen levels dropping from deforestation. They will become more prominent and have less fur because they aren't protected on the ground. Fur is hot and makes you slower. They will eat lots more food, such as fish, large mice, birds, snakes, rodents, and frogs.
