The squirrel monkey lives in many different rainforests such as the amazon, and congo. Squirrel monkeys have many adaptations. A few adaptations are: Their tails are not prehensile. They use their tails to balance. They are very vocal and they have 25 - 30 different calls. And, to help eat insects, squirrel monkeys have cheeky teeth that have cusps. In the future the rainforest will become warmer and less rain will fall. The squirrel monkey will have to adapt to the environment. Some adaptations they will have are: Claws for climbing so that they can get to water on the ground. Shorter fur, so they don’t overheat. And their fur will get darker for camouflage. The trees will get darker due to climate change so the squirrel monkeys will camouflage better.
