The Chimps current natural habitat is the rainforest of central Africa which are under constant and ongoing threat of deforestation. If this deforestation continues the chimps' natural habitat would most likely convert from warm wet jungle to hot dry grasslands. With this conversion of habitat in mind, the chimp would have to make many adaptations: such as longer stronger legs, feet more adapted to walking and running, less hair, larger brains. However their most important trait for this new environment is something they already have, the sweat glands, this will allow the chimp much like us humans to chase down prey to exhaustion over vast distances.
