Tropical rainforests are highly sensitive to changes in the rainfall and moisture level such as humidity. In the future though, due to the climate change crisis, fires and long term droughts are likely to start increasing and becoming more severe and impactful to the tropical rainforest habitat, which can result in scarcity in trees and a shift to a savannah like habitat in the next 1000 years and more from now.
In my present drawing, I depict the James flamingo in the tropical rainforest in South America. Some of its current adaptations include long flexible necks and long powerful legs.
In my future drawing, I depict the James flamingo in a new savannah habitat in South America. The new adaptations that the James flamingo develops in my drawing are extra-large wings to migrate to very far places and sharp claws on its webbed feet to help attack predators.
