The three-toed sloth has a short flat head, small eyes, long legs, short snout, stubby tail, and tiny ears. These adaptations allow the sloth to turn its head approximately 270 degrees; it also has long legs so that it can get around easily. Sloths cannot walk, but they can swim. Their fur is also good camouflage. These adaptations help them move slowly, unseen by predators.
Climate change will impact the rainforest in the future by making it very dry and causing many forest fires. If I designed a sloth to better survive climate change, it would have to have shorter legs so it can get around faster and a bigger nose so it can smell the fires. The three-toed sloth will not survive climate change as it is because in order to survive, it would have to move faster to avoid fires instead of just hiding in trees.
