Parrots have a curved bill, strong legs and clawed feet. They are very colorful. They use their bill to crack open nuts and to climb. Their strong legs have to support their weight. Parrots are zygodactyl, which means they have two toes pointing forward and two pointing back. This helps them balance on trees and helps them grasp food. Parrots eat leaves, nuts, grass, seeds, fruits and vegetables. Over time, climate change and deforestation will lead to increased temperatures and change in rainfall patterns. The rainforest is likely to turn into a grassland due to deforestation. Parrots sleep in holes made from trees. Parrots will find it difficult to survive as their habitat is getting destroyed. Parrots will have to adapt to their new environment or they will become extinct. They would have to find new food and a habitat to survive in grasslands.
