Black Caiman

The Black Caiman lives deep in the Amazon Rainforest. The adaptations that help this Apex-predator survive is. It’s black body because it's a nocturnal reptile, its tail is thin and long for easy acceleration to attack or run away in water. Short legs make it able to be easily move through complex environments. Cartilage only on their neck area to protect them from neck attacks that their predator uses. In the Future, this reptile's environment will most likely be a savannah. To survive they will need to adapt to this savannah by making their underbelly made of more cartilage to protect their weak spot. They will have longer legs to make them faster and more agile, the tail will become wider and shorter to store extra water that can be used to prevent heat exhaustion, and their body will become pale with stripes to camouflage in the day.
