Within a few thousand years, the silverback gorilla might disappear from the face of the earth, but in a few hundred years, it may have possibilities that most people won't be aware of. Here are a few descriptions of what the silverback gorilla may look like a few hundred years from now. 1. It will lose most of its fur. The reason for this is global warming. With the planet getting warmer, herbivores will have a better chance of surviving if they have a little less fur. Therefore, silverbacks won't have much of their fur a few hundred years from now. You can also see that the newer silverback is a little smaller. One of the main reasons silverbacks are dying is habitat loss. In a few hundred years from now, there will be far fewer rainforests left for silverback gorillas to thrive in than there are today.
