The Green basilisk lizard, they live near bodies of water but live in the trees because they are semi-arboreal and semi-aquatic. The green basilisk can escape from danger by walking on the water, it uses its long toed hind legs that have special scales on its feet and has fringed skin. Its coloring of green with speckled blueish white dots helps it hide with the plants. The rainforest will change to a savanna, the lizard's habitat will have no bodies of freshwater and very little trees. The green basilisk will need to be able to camouflage with the new habitat, so it will turn to a saturated brown and its light blue dots will change into long dark strips so it can camouflage with the dark bark and ground to escape mostly birds and snakes. It will change drastically in appearance and there are definitely some major changes that happened.
