Sloth Nails

My animal of choice is the sloth which lives on the canopy layer in the rainforest. I want to change the sloth’s nails. Having longer nails will allow it to move about easier and quicker. In the rainforest it can get a little muddy so they could get stuck and the sloth’s predators can catch it easily. Also it can help the sloth by hanging on trees to not fall off, that is because it needs grip to be able to to have its momentum and swimming. The sloth also swims and longer nails would help it to move around better in the water. Sloths only go 0.17 miles per hour when threatened. Longer nails for better grip could increase that speed and this create a safer environment for the sloth.
