Keel Billed Toucan

In the present environment, toucans are known for their vibrant colors and strikingly large beaks. Their colorful feathers provide camouflage in their colorful surroundings. Its beaks help it to feed on small insects and fruits. However, their bodies are relatively small and their short wings makes it difficult for them to fly. The future environment would be filled with dead trees with less amount of food for a toucan to survive. Due to the lack of fruits and insects, the toucan has become thin and its wingspan grew wider than its body. The beak became small, reducing the toucan’s weight. It’s lightweight gave it the agility to migrate and because of their fast speed, they can avoid future predators. The lack of sunlight has caused the toucan’s color to become dark and ashy. The bird’s dark colors help it to camouflage in its dark surroundings.
