six-tubercled river turtle

I think my animal will adapt to live on land more because people are cutting down the trees and that will make less rainfall so the ponds and lakes will dry and all the water will be gone so the turtles will have to live on land instead of living in the ponds and lakes. I also think that my animal will adapt to a stronger shell because it can't hide in the ponds and lakes because all the water will be gone and since my animal is the smallest turtle it will be vulnerable to bigger animals and predators so having a stronger shell will protect it and it will have spikes on its shell to protect it also.
