the tigers speed

I would make my animal faster because it only runs 30 miles an hour so I am making its paws smaller because the paws are slowing down the animal. If i do that my animal should move faster.So that would be an advantage for it to hunt easier And catch faster prey. Such as deer boar birds and fish. I also would change the trees around where my animal lives to give it more oxygen.My estimation is about 40 miles an hour. What would you do about your animal?
