Ocelots today live in rainforests. They hunt on the ground, and they usually rest in trees. With deforestation, there won’t be many trees for them to climb anymore. So, they’d have to find a way to rest without climbing a tree. They would most likely rest in tall grass and sleep in thick vegetation. They would live near rivers and lakes with thick grass, so they’d be able to sleep and rest while also looking for prey. They may have to also adjust their diet. They would have sharper teeth for being able to hunt prey easier, and larger ears for better hearing. A larger tail would benefit them as they’d be able to run faster.
