Future and present of Okapi

The animal I have chosen is the Okapi. The Okapi lives in the northwest Democratic Republic of the Congo in the rainforest. The Okapi has white strips on its behind and is able to camouflage into its surroundings. The Okapi also has really good ears and can hear when a predator is nearby so the Okapi can escape the predators without being hurt. But as the Okapi gets older their white stripes are going to go away so the Okapi can no longer hide in its surroundings and the predators are going to see them better. Their ears are also going to get worse and will no longer be able to hear the predators around them so the predators will be able to catch them and kill them easier.
