In the present the giant river otters live on water and land. They eat fish, crab, aquatic insects and crickets. They live in river, creeks and maybe on a big rock. They usally would be in the water and swim, play, hunt, or eating.
But when the water disolves, it is going to be a savanana with little water. So its habbit is going to be land and will be green to hide in the grass from prey or predators. It is going to have sharp claws to eat fast and eat it easier. Since it is not living in water so it should not have webbed feet because it is going to become harder to walk in grass.
