The Draco lizard

The Draco lizard aka the flying lizard lives in southeast Asia in the canopy layer of the rainforest. Some of the lizard’s current adaptations include claws to hold onto trees, retractable wings to soar, and a tail to navigate itself while it is airborne the lizard jumps from the tree to get away from predators. The lizard now lives in a savannah due to climate change drying up the rainforest, with the rainforest the adaptations of the lizard have also changed, the lizards current adaptations now include the loss of wings due to them being almost useless, smaller and more precise claws to pick up and eat insects off the ground, and a tail that looks like a dead insect to bait insects. The Draco lizard present and future will use its abilities to stay safe and stay alive whether it be in a rainforest or in a savannah.
