Tree shrews today have large eyes, to help them see on the dark forest floor. They have long muzzles so they can catch their prey, bugs. Tree shrews also have curved claws used to climb trees.
In the future, I think that rainforests will degrade and all of the excess water will flood them making the rainforest become a marshland. I gave the Shrew webbed feet because it needs to be a swimmer in a marshland; it no longer has claws. I gave it internal ears so they don’t get ear infections due to water. Its babies will have small hairs on their backs and their fur has a slight greenish tint to help them blend into the reeds around their home. These shrews can also Imitate the sounds of other animals to help scare off predators. The shrews still eat insects and have long muzzles to help them.
