Current: The green anaconda is a 30 foot long constrictor that lives in the Amazon rainforest. It is olive green with dark oval spots on its spine and similar dark spots with yellow centers on its side. Their color allows them to blend in with the wet, dense vegetation of the forest floor they live in. Their eyes and nose are on the top of their head which lets them see and smell when they’re swimming. Future: In the future, the Amazon will become dry savanna and the anaconda will develop a more brown color in order to blend into the more dry environment but retain its darker spots. Its eyes will move more the sides of its head due to less need for swimming and weigh less due to having less resources. It will become nocturnal to avoid the sun’s heat.
