Sumatran orangutans have reddish fur and longer facial hair and they are found in the tropical and subtropical Moist Broadleaf Forests. They also have close relationship bonds with each other and travel among trees, rarely on the ground. The Sumatran orangutan population is getting threatened by habitat loss, such as widespread forest fires, agricultural development, and plans to build roads and other human settlements. If these still continue in the next 100 years, they will have to be on the ground since there will be barely any trees, and without trees, it will cause sunlight through the forest. Sumatrans will adapt to the new environment by getting a thinner coat, their diet will be changed to eating other small vertebrates, and their powerful grip and arms will help them survive. They will be building little dens made of the resources around them to take shelter and make themselves a community.
