Future Creature Challenge
The King Cobra has very impressive adaptations that help it survive. The king cobras live in the rainforests of Southeast Asia. The scales on the cobra look yellow, green, brown, or black depending on where they live. King cobras eat small mammals, lizards, and birds. Their defense is its toxic venom which can kill 20 people or an elephant with one bite.
In the future, the king cobra will live in a wetland due to global warming and the king cobra will adapt. The colors of their scales will turn blue-green to blend in with the grass and the water. They can eat fish, crab, and other seafood and plants to survive in the Southeast Asia wetland. They will have to inject the venom into what they eat in the water. These adaptions help them live in their new place.
