Sloths are part of the armadillo and anteater families. There are two kinds of sloths, the two-toed and three-toed. Their habitat is in the tropical rainforests in Central and South America. They love lots of leaves, and sometimes eat fruit. They love to sleep up to 15-20 hours a day. Sloths spend most of their lives in trees. The maned sloth and three-toed pigmy sloth are both endangered out of their species. If humans continue to destroy their habitat, the sloths will be homeless. Their lives depend on the rainforest. If builders continue, there will be nothing left, but little to no trees, rocks, and dirt. This causes sloths to start dying off. This endangers the entire species, due to no food sources. If humans could stop cutting the rainforests trees, there will be more trees for the sloths to live in and eat, and keep their food source.
