Kinkajous live up on the trees with their long tails and eat fruit, nectar, and occasionally insects, but due to climate change, there will be an increase in deforestation and it can also lead to droughts which may put an end to the rainforests. In order to survive the kinkajous will have to adapt to new climates and habitats. Soon their rainforest will turn into savannahs; almost completely dry. Because they wouldn't have many trees to hang on to, they will lose their long lengthy tails as it will no longer benefit them. Also with fewer food options, they would have to depend on insects which is why they'll begin to burrow underground to try and find food and shelter. But in order to dig out their homes, they will obtain stronger legs, paws, and claws. Their coats will also turn more yellow to camouflage in the savannah.
