The Scarlet Macaw lives in tropical rainforests in Central and South America. The macaw uses its large beak to eat berries and seeds and its vibrant colors to scare predators. Due to climate change, the macaw must adapt as rainforests will become savannas. Everything from their appearance to their diet will change. They will have to resort to eating small animals, so their beak will become pointier, and their eyesight will improve. With their numbers declining, using disruptive coloration will no longer be possible. They will have to use camouflage to hide from predators. Their feathers will also become shorter and blander, making them less desirable for poachers. Lastly, their feathers will become lighter in weight to ensure they don't overheat in the savanna's hot climate.
