The Mangrove Coati

Coatis are mammals. They weigh 18 pounds, they are omnivores, their favorite foods are small rodents, birds, seeds, fruit, and insects. They live in the Amazon Rainforest. Their size is around 1 foot long, their tails are as long as their body, so 2 feet from tail to head. They have paws for climbing trees and running on ground. Their top speed is 24 kph (15 mph). Their life span is up to 7 years. Their predators include large cats, snakes, wolves, foxes, bears, and eagles. The future coati lives in a mangrove forest. More adept at swimming, coatis hunt for food in water and trees and sleep in the trees. They are bigger than the coatis we have now, they are around 4 feet in length from tail to head. They eat aquatic animals, insects, and birds. Their life span is 7 years.
