My robot is called S.A.N.D standing for “Soil and No Dust” . SAND has a big claw in the front; the claw can bend forwards, backwards, up and down. Inside the claw it has a vacuum sucking up the soil and dust. Soil doesn’t go into the vacuum because it has a small wall with a very small hole blocking it from going through. When it hits the plate, the vacuum stops itself and allows the soil to go down into a chamber. When full, it automatically goes back to the location it calls “home” to drop off the soil. It goes into a vent allowing it to flow out smoothly. It can carry about 200 -500 pounds of soil. The front feet are flat to allow it to walk. The back feet are bumpy to allow it to grip onto the ground.
