This lunar rover will transport lunar soil, by digging into the ground using its spade like instruments. The digging apparatuses are conjoined to a rotating track. which rotates and causes the apparatuses to dig into the ground, and then drop the lunar soil into an attached storage container. The vehicle runs on solar power which is provided by the solar panels on top of it.The panels also have small wipers to clean them. The vehicle is moved via a tread system on the bottom of it. I chose this design because I think it would be easier to automate a simple track system than a full rotating arm. Another reason I chose this design was because a simple track system wouldn't need as much maintenance as a full rotating arm or other digging apparatuses. The rover is also equipped with a satellite dish and a camera to communicate with nasa.
