SASUKE

Sasuke, named after the powerful lone wolf ninja from Naruto, is a multi-purpose bot specialized in collecting regolith. The regolith is collected with the claw component which can maneuver in 360°. It moves with 6 individual wheels that have suspension mechanics that help in navigating the terrain. The “head” component contains all the communications and vision hardware. There is an empty central area where regolith can be collected and stored for transportation. All electronic components are powered with solar panels and Nasa’s mini nuclear reactor called Kilopower. The entire bot will be coated in DDRC, Dust repellent coating, which helps avoid getting the robot damaged from the moon’s electrified dust. The robot is meant to navigate across the moon with ease while collecting regolith, being energy efficient & independent, as well as not being disturbed by the moon’s static dust. This ensures that the robot can operate independently from humans.
