My lunabot is Selene (Version 1.0). Selene is the Greek name for moon. Selene scoops and digs lunar regolith using a shovel attachment. Selene carries and transports lots of dirt in trips. Selene will have a material that is resistant to the lunar dust. This material will also help respond to the moon’s harsh conditions. Selene has two blue sensors. Sensor one is on the left. Sensor two is on the right. Sensor one will be programmed to have the shovel lift/scoop the regolith. Sensor two will be programmed to have Selene sort the lunar regolith by size, then move the regolith onto a conveyor belt. The conveyor belt transports the regolith collected into the Artemis holding container. The long orange figure that is next to Selene is a model of the conveyor belt. Selene has four strong wheels to help navigate around the rocky craters on the moon.
