The robot is made out of titanium and aluminum because I wanted it to be able to withstand the impact endured when breaking the atmosphere. This robot would be controlled by remote control from someone down on earth. I thought that this would be the best option because it would be hard to have someone try and control it from the machine itself. This robot will be powered by solar panels, but in the case that the sun can’t reach it, there is a battery as well. The robot will be able to hold 50 pounds at a time. It will have a low-powered electron bean to repel all of the lunar dust. The robot will have a similar digger as a trencher to collect all the regolith. The regolith will travel through the bottom and through a large “tube” and into the bin.
