My rover has many compact elements that fold out when in use. It has three arms on three sides. The arms are a two sided scoop, a ridged scoop, and a drill, each with a sleeve, three hinges and a collection box. The collection box contains a removable pouch to provide an extra layer and to make the soil easy to drain. The rover uses spiked treads attached to three-jointed legs for shock absorption, mobility, and traction. The rover has laminated, tempered glass solar panels that fold in and out. My rover has 3 Hazcams, 2 Navcams, a Mastcam, Chemcam, and a MARDI.
My solutions to deal with dust are to purposely attract it with a magnet in the collection box and to shake it off. The treads and legs are what allow the rover to shake it off.
