Resilience will operate by use of AutoNav technology. It will be made of metals like aluminum, lithium, and titanium for protection from extreme temperatures. Solar panels will collect energy to power a hydrogen fuel system, which will then take over as the main power source (solar panels then function as backup). Resilience will be built with four wheels that angle outwards for stability. They will adjust when digging and transporting lunar soil in order to maintain balance. The wheels will be made of a steel wire mesh material, which will help with traction, smoother travel over rough terrain, and dust disturbance. Resilience will also use suction tubes to clear dust from its vital exterior parts. It will have a flexible retractable arm with a scoop/claw attachment for excavating lunar regolith. The rover will travel at a reasonable/medium speed, slowing down at rough ground to ensure safety and efficiency.
