The robot is made of titanium alloy to protect from extreme temperatures and a sealant to act as extra protection from dust. The robot is automatic except for emergency override. There are sensors and cameras on the robot to map out rough patches and stay clear of them. To collect lunar regolith there is an extendable scooper that can transport the regolith to the back of the robot where it will taken through a filter and stored. To maintain traction the robot's wheels will be made of nickel titanium wire mesh. Most of the weight will be in the center to maintain balanced. The robot will stay under 3 mph and will automatically slow down in rough/bumpy patches. There is an extendable duster that can reach all sides of the robot to remove dust. The robot will be solar powered at a station after every working period.
