Lophus will move lunar regolith with its half-sphere scoop. As this scoop is only so big, it can only transport a fixed amount of regolith at a time. Luckily, this robot is designed to easily traverse its way across lunar terrain quickly and efficiently. The inside of the scoop is coated with indium tin oxide: preventing lunar dust from sticking to it. Additionally, the wheels on Lophus are heavily inspired from those of a tractor: ideal for crossing rugged terrain. Furthermore, between the wheels lies the chassis where the engine and battery pack are located. This is Lophus.
