Endymion carries 10 drill robots inside of it. To collect lunar soil, Endymion carries drill robots and sets them down. The drills dig down into the soil, stop at a designated depth, then are picked up. The shuttle then puts a vacuum inside the hole, using an electron shooter to stir up compact dirt on the bottom. Endymion’s treads minimize the amount of dust it stirs up. Endymion’s six solar panels have adjustable angles and rotary bases for optimum energy collection. If lunar dust settles on the solar panels, a weight sensor triggers an electron shooter that blasts dust away.
