This lunar robot, “The Moon Scoop” will be operated autonomously but remote controlled for emergencies and powered by a rechargeable battery. To maintain balance the robot will have big sturdy wheels on either side. Speed wise, the robot will have varying speeds for it to be efficient but safe. It will maintain traction because of chevron designed, grippy, and grooved tires made from aluminum and rubber. To handle extreme temperatures there will be a heating/cooling system in the robot and a special protective layer to protect the robot from regolith dust. The robot will also be made of satellite material. Digging and excavating soil will happen from a pair of shovels that are slow and steady and can store away easily after use. Along with all those details there will be an antenna, flashlight and camera. The robot will be 2 feet wide and 3 feet tall.
