My Lunabotics robot has simple aspects, but when put together should result in a fully functional robot. It has the basic aspects of a shovel, chassis, wheels, solar panels, but the more intimate parts of the robot include Lidar and NASA’s new Moon Duster. I decided to use Lidar in my robot, because it could give us a more detailed scan of the moon, and especially help in parts that may be unsafe for humans. The Moon Duster would be for maintaining the robot, because the moon dust could damage the hardware. The shovel would be on a rotating joint, and that would allow it to empty into a hatch in the chassis. The rocks would be stored there until return.
