When the gate on the transport vehicle drops then the camera on the rover turns on, the solar panels on the landing pod should charge the bot. Once out of the pod, solar panels will then kick, on the rover, a wire will connect to a battery for back up power. Treds move by electrical energy from the solar panels, treds have soil scoopers that puts it in a box. Also it gets minerals from a drill that gets the mineral that is sucked up by a tube and dropped into a container. To address lunar dust, my robot is protected by areogel and cooling system if needed. Asteroids and moonquakes produce shockwaves so my rover has shock-absorbers. Back on its transportation there is a chest for the minerals and soil under the robot and on the belly of the robot, so the robot can make another trip.
