Lunar Rover Apollo Apollo is going to use shovels to dig the regolith and put it into three different containers. Apollo will use robotic arms to move the shovels to scoop the regolith and move it to the containers. A shield will appear to protect Apollo from lunar dust. Apollo is three feet in length, one and five tenths in width, and one and six tenths in depth. Apollo will empty the regolith from its containers like a dump truck dumping dirt, which means it will lift the containers into the air and dump the regolith out.
