The first few days of initial planning I started tinkering with the design of the wheels. The wheels have large spikes that implant and or bury in the ground when they dig or drill. Tank wheels really inspired me for my design of the wheels. My rover's name is XENA, which stands for: eXploration, Engineering, Nasa, Astronomy. XENA includes multiple arms connected to various tools such as a drill and shovel. The shovel could be used to transport regolith to a nearby space station. XENA’s dimensions are 2 1/2 feet x 2 feet x 2 feet. My rover includes built-in cameras that have wipers that wipe off any excess regolith off the camera lens. My rover has cameras at every angle, so it is great for research purposes. My rover will be controlled and monitored from Earth by the NASA engineers.
