Luna-TIC is a high-tech lunar rover. It can autonomously move and avoid obstacles with AI, using four panoramic cameras. This AI system can also track the location of each excavation site for every sample. Its legs have traction wheels with rubber and metallic fiber tires, rotary joints and shock absorption to surpass rough terrain. The three wheels per side minimizes gaps to prevent Luna-TIC from getting stuck on rocks. A conveyor belt of serrated buckets that lead to the storage component can dig up to 5 meters of regolith by angling the adjustable belt. The storage system contains a particle-filtration system in case the turbulent journey refines its original magnitude. Luna-TIC is covered in indium tin oxide to dissipate the electric charges of regolith and prevent it compromising systems. Luna-TIC effectively does all this using power from rechargeable lithium ion batteries and solar panels.
