L.E.R.C.O.

Lunar Explorer Regolith Collecting Octopus or L.E.R.C.O. is designed to collect regolith. It will use a laser located in its mouth to cut the regolith. If it has to it will deploy Mini Bot Birds or M.B.B.s to cut regolith L.E.R.C.O. can’t cut. The M.B.B.s are stored in its hands. L.E.R.C.O. will move on three legs if it has to it will use four legs. In the front walking legs rope will be stored so L.E.R.C.O. can climb out of craters. Its head will be able to rotate all the way around. It will be solar powered it will also be able to use a rechargeable battery. A M.B.B. will be able to land on its talons. Its wings will be able to tuck into it sides. A M.B.B. will have a charging port on its head it will charge while it is in L.E.R.C.O.s hand.
