The name of my robot is Determination. During my research for this project, I studied the Mars Rovers to understand more about what robots do in Space. The Perseverance Rover is designed for collecting rocks and soil from Mars, which was similar to the instructions for the Moon Robots, and determination is a synonym for perseverance. Determination will use its excavator shovel on the front to scoop moon dust. It will then spin on the rotating platform to pour the collection into the vent located towards the middle. The vent will then transfer the moon dust to the circular tube for storage. My robot is designed to carry no more than 5 gallons of dirt in one trip, though there is storage for an extra 2-3 pounds. My robot will handle moon dust by cleaning off any vital places when needed, by way of sweeping off the outside. Thank you!
