Demetra is a 3x2x2 foot, remote-controlled robot, designed for digging and transporting regolith. Demetra features two arms on the front and back, which can extend all ways, each 1ft long. One arm is a large shovel, whereas the other is a drill that is much more complex. The drill arm drills into the ground, and picks up the regolith in compartments on the exterior of the drill part. Both arms can rotate and move in all ways. Demetra has a sealable compartment in the center made for storing regolith, below that, the motor. On the side, it holds a control panel and a large battery. The remote features buttons and a lever allowing it to open the lid, move the arms and transport the regolith storage container, and spin the drill. On the front, it has a camera for data analysis. Demetra uses a conveyor system as its transportation.
