For the Luna Botics Junior Contest, I have created a robot “The Great Escape” that can hopefully contribute to moving lunar soil for an Artemis base. My robot will collect lunar regolith by digging with a claw with pointed drills to remove the rock. Also, it will have an overhead and underneath storage which is connected by pathways to collect as much soil as possible. My robot will transport a large amount of regolith with the multiple storages it contains. For it to operate, it needs four interior wheels and outside wheels that can climb and go over harder, bumpier surfaces with pointed metals. My robot will handle lunar dust by incorporating the technology for the nasa.gov site which explains how it can take away the electrical charges which defends robots. It will also contain a rubber or any material that won’t allow the dust to stick onto the robot.
