The purpose of this robot is to move lunar soil from the surface to a place for collection. The robot has tank like treads to travel very smoothly across the surface. The shovel-like tool that is on the arm of the robot resembles a bulldozer and can scoop up the dust for transport through many small trips inside the claw. The robot is made of a special microplastic and has several small electromagnets to repel unwanted dust, or regolith. The magnets are connected to a small system inside the robot to send out pulses of electricity to repel the dust or regolith. The motors on the outside of the robot are connected to a motherboard inside of the robot that controls the robot through a remote. The battery inside the robot is a lithium-ion battery and should last upwards of 2 hours and is rechargeable by a dock without wires.
